Review and edit a transaction
Read the original activity, and change how it is filed only when something is wrong.
After signing in, open Help in the sidebar to start an interactive guide.
The transaction has to have loaded. Anything you change applies to Nora’s record, not to the bank transfer itself.
How to do it
- Open Transactions, or select a row in Recent transactions on Home.
- Use Search to find transactions by merchant name or alias, description, account, category, or common English and French category terms. Use Filters for exact dates, amounts and statuses.
- Read the merchant, category, account, date and pending status in the detail drawer.
- If something is wrong, edit the merchant, category, date or notes fields.
- Choose Save changes. If you leave with unsaved edits, Nora asks you to save or discard them first.
Saved edits change how Nora files the transaction. For the optional review walkthrough, reading the details is enough.
Having trouble?
- If saving fails, keep the drawer open and try again. Do not assume the change was stored.
- Pending bank activity can change when it posts. Check the status before comparing it with older totals.
- After a bank reports new activity, Nora syncs connected Plaid transactions in the background. Updates may take time to arrive; check Settings > Connections for connection problems, then use Sync if you need to request a refresh.
- Related transactions and the category and merchant links give you context without any editing.
