Understand balance history

Tell saved observations apart from reconstructed history.

Open Accounts, or an account detail that has history available.

How to do it

  1. Check the selected time range, currency and balance measure.
  2. Read the source labels. Observed balances are saved snapshots. Reconstructed values estimate the movement between those snapshots from transaction activity.
  3. Compare the chart with recent transactions and check for gaps.
  4. Choose the information icon beside balance history for the short explanation, then Got it to close it.

The chart shows how the balance moved over time. The reconstructed part is an estimate. It is not a bank statement and it does not promise complete history.

Having trouble?
  • Missing transactions or observations can create gaps or limit what Nora can reconstruct.
  • Changing current activity can change reconstructed values while the original saved observation stays as it was.
  • Limited history can leave the chart flat or empty even when the account saw activity.
  • If history is unavailable because older records need repair, contact support. Nora does not guess missing balance movements.
