Review recurring bills and income

Separate suggestions from confirmed upcoming activity.

Nora may detect candidates once transactions arrive. You can also create recurring activity yourself.

How to do it

  1. Open Recurring. Use Upcoming, Calendar or All recurring to look through confirmed activity.
  2. Open Review for detected candidates and proposed transaction matches.
  3. Check the amount, the timing and the supporting transactions before you choose Confirm, Edit or Reject.
  4. Open an occurrence to see its status. Use paid, skip and the other lifecycle actions only when they match what actually happened.
  5. Budgets uses confirmed expense occurrences to show what you still owe in the month you have selected. An accepted allocation reduces that expectation, and a leg you have explicitly completed or paid by hand leaves nothing outstanding. Check the category assignments so each commitment lands under the right budget. The Budget estimate and the expected amount in the Recurring calendar are two different numbers.

Unconfirmed suggestions stay out of forecasts. Matching an occurrence, or marking it paid, does not create a bank transaction or move money.

Having trouble?
  • No review items means there are no current candidates or proposals. Nora hides the detection help in that empty state.
  • A detector may not recognise every bill, and it may suggest something that is not recurring at all. Read the evidence.
  • A confirmed match and a detector’s pattern history are different kinds of evidence. Read the labels.
